Open Hands Emoji

Two open hands, representing openness. Sometimes used as a hug, or as a display of jazz hands. The Open Hands emoji consists of a lot of human expressions and emotions enclosed in it. This emoji shows palm open in the upward direction and can be used to express different type of emotions both positive and sometimes negative.

HISTORY:

The history of the Open Hands emoji heads back to Japan. It's invention and use were done prominently by the Japanese mobile users during the early days of the invention of emojis (as a whole). Open Hands got included in the Unicode after a very long time of its introduction and that's when it started getting widespread among people all over the world. With the invention of smart and touch screen phones, the widespreadness of emojis (and especially Open Hands emoji) increased and people started using this emoji in thier daily conversations as well. All the standard emoji platforms now consist of this emoji in their list undoubtedly.

USES:

The use of Open Hands emoji is due to express versatile emotions, some positive and some negative as well. Some uses of this emoji are:

• As a welcoming sign to the reader for some program or generally in the sender's life.
• Showing support towards the actions of the receiver. This may not sound like it but the Open Hands emoji is actually a representation of the expression, “I am always with you”, given to the receiver as a token of reassurance.
• This emoji can also be a representation of a hug or consolation, surprise, or longing that the sender feels towards the receiver.
