Y Ddraig Goch â also known as The Red Dragon â is the flag of Wales đ´ó §ó ˘ó ˇó Źó łó ż.
The dragon is the National flag consists of a red pasant on green and white field. Wales has had the red dragon as her symbol for centuries, and in Welsh history she is known as a symbol of Welsh strength and courage.
Green and white colors of the flag are used as a reference to the Tudor dynasty (which came from Wales) which was adopted after Henry VII, Welsh himself, became an English king. I
t was officially adopted in 1959, and is an emblem of Welsh pride and heritage.
