Flag: Turkey Emoji

The Turkey Flag Emoji is 🇹🇷 which stands for the Turkish flag, with a red field and a white crescent moon and a five-pointed star on the right of the crescent. The blood of martyrs and struggle for independence is represented by the red symbol, the crescent and the star are traditional signs of Islam, which is the principal religion of Turkey. 

The flag was officially adopted on May 29, 1936, although it goes back to the Ottoman Empire as far as its flags which roughly cobble together the Turkish and the Persian flag. Used to represent Turkey’s culture, history, national pride and politics in political, cultural and international contexts, this emoji seeks to represent Turkey as a country.
