π³π¨ represents the flag of New Caledonia an overseas collectivity of France located in the southwest Pacific.
It has four horizontal bands of blue (top and bottom) alternating with white; there is a circle of yellow, the color of the traditional Kanak (indigenous Melanesian) body decoration, that overflows along the outline of the bottom blue band; the yellow disk represents the sun; the central part of the overflowing yellow circle symbolizes the People's Pacific area, and the green central portion indicates the land and natural environment of New Caledonia.
