Flag: Montserrat Emoji

As for this symbol, the Montserrat Flag Emoji 🇲🇸 stands for the Montserrat, a British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean area. 

It has a blue background upon which the Union Jack is placed at the upper left quadrant and the coat of arms of Montserrat at the right. Contents of the coat of arms are the harp, which alludes to the Irish origins of the island, and a woman – the island’s population. 

The green of the ground of the coat of arms is the indication of the vegetation of the island and the touches of gold standing for the riches of the island’s resources. 

It was officially hoisted in the year 1960 and symbolically bears the British connection and the cultural distinctiveness of Montserrat related to Irish stock. The above emoji is used to represent the history, pride and association with the United Kingdom of this island.
