Flag: Monaco Emoji

The Monaco Flag Emoji 🇲🇨 represents the national flag of Monaco, which features two horizontal stripes: It was red on top, white on the bottom. 

The colors are taken from the heraldic shield of the Grimaldi family which have ruled Monaco for centuries. The principality’s deep-rooted history and royal heritage are reflected in the design. 

On April 4, 1881, it was officially accepted as a flag; thus, it is one of the oldest unchanged flags still in existence. Although simple, the flag means a lot culturally and historically. This emoji is typically used to depict the skill of Monaco in being the country it is — glamorous and royal.
