Flag: Mayotte Emoji

🇾🇹 is a general symbol of Mayotte, a French overseas department within the Indian Ocean. 

The flag features four horizontal stripes: It was white, green, blue and yellow. The flag contains at the top left corner two white lemurs facing each other, representative of Mayotte’s unique flora and fauna. The blue is the sea that surrounds the island, the green is the land, yellow stands for the hopes of the people for reaching a better future and the white is peace and unity. 

In 2011 the flag is adopted, which represents Mayotte’s cultural and natural heritage. This is used for discussing Mayotte’s geography, (including political status as part of France).
