Flag: Guatemala Emoji

The Guatemala Flag 🇬🇹 Emoji is a specific mark that looks like the Guatemala national flag as a stylized grapheme and symbolizes the Guatemala – country of Central America. 

The flag consists of three vertical stripes: Short and high on the outer sides, it has two light blue stripes with a white central line. It is said that the blue on the flag represents both the sky and the pacific and the Atlantic Ocean; also, the white symbolizes peace or purity. 

On the white stripe, the national emblem is located in the middle, with a quetzal bird, a scroll with the motto ending ‘Libreedom,’ rifles, and a branch of the bird are items of the coat of arms that is considered to respond to the story of Guatemala’s desire for freedom. 

The flag was created by Rafael Álvarez, Guatemalan painter and adopted on August 17, 1871. This emoji is used often to refer to the Guatemalan culture, history and identity of the people.
