Flag: Guam Emoji

🇬🇺 shows the flag of Guam, Unincorporated U.S. territory in the Pacific Ocean. 

The flag has a red border containing the central design in the shape of a traditional Chamorro village scene of a lawn with a palm tree, a statue of the island, and a canoe. The emblem represents indigenous Chamorro culture and the tropical environment and the red border symbolizes Guam’s historic relationship with Spain and the United States. 

The design was created by Ramón M. Taitano, a native of Guam. Because Guam is a US territory, this emoji is used to discuss Guam’s culture, geography and US status.
