Flag: Gibraltar Emoji

The Emoji 🇬🇮 Gibraltar Flag Emoji represents the national flag of Gibraltar, a British Overseas Territory situated at the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula. 

It has a red and white design with a red castle and three golden keys in its center. The Rock of Gibraltar is represented by the castle, while the keys stand for the part that Gibraltar has in the past played as a gateway from the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. 

It was officially adopted on 8 November 1982. The Gibraltar Government designed it as a reflection of the territory’s British connection as well as its wider strategic importance. The Gibraltar national identity has been symbolized by means of this emoji.
