Flag: Finland Emoji

🇫🇮 is the emoji symbol of the national flag of Finland, the 'siniristilippu' — 'blue cross flag.' 

The blue Nordic cross on white field is seen on it. White for the snow that blankets the country during the winter, and the blue reflects all Finland's lakes and skies. 

Finland declared independence from Russia in 1917, and the flag was officially adopted May 29, 1918. The artist Eero Järnefelt, a Finnish, designed the artwork which was created from a natural landscape. 

So popular is this emoji that it instantly represents the Finnish pride, culture and identity.
