Flag for Falkland Islands πŸ‡«πŸ‡° stands for the flag of the British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic Ocean. As a symbol, this flag may be divided into two equal parts, the lower left half contains the Union Jack since these are British administered islands while top right-hand side contains a representation of Falkland Islands coat of arms.

The symbolisms on the coat of arms are the golden fleece and the sheep since the island once depended on the latter for its source of income.

The flag was officially adopted later on the day of 1 January 1999. It is used to depict the Falklander’s culture, histories and to inform everyone that it is a British territory.
