Flag: Dominican Republic Emoji

The Dominican Republic Flag Emoji 🇩🇴 is the national flag of the Dominican Republic which is in the Caribbean region of Latin America. 

The flag currently in use is a red cross surrounded by a blue cross occupying the top left and bottom right quadrants while the top right and bottom left are in red, in the middle of the cross is a white cross. In the center of the cross there is the coat of arms with the shield containing the Bible, the cross, the floral wreath, and the two guns. Blue has the meaning of freedom and God, red is for blood that has been shed for the sake of independence; and white for peace. 

The flag was designed by a one Juan Pablo Duarte Dominican Republic’s founding father, this flag was adopted on February 27, 1844 when the country became independent from Haiti. This emoji represents culture and history of Dominican Republic, as well as Dominican pride.
