Flag: Cook Islands Emoji

The flag 🇨🇰 of Cook Islands, a self-governing territory in free association with New Zealand in the Pacific Ocean. 

The flag has the Union Jack in the top left corner, hence in memory of the past links with Britain, and a circle of 15 stars, for the 15 islands that form the Cook Islands. 

The flag was adopted in 1979, the design of which reflects the heritage and link with New Zealand of the islands. The actual flag of the Cook Islands was drawn up by local officials in conjunction with New Zealand officials. Cook Islands culture, history & geography is often discussed with this emoji.
