Flag: Azerbaijan Emoji

The Azerbaijan Flag Emoji 🇦🇿 is the national flag of Azerbaijan, a country recognized as a part of South Caucasus Eurasia. 

The flag consists of three horizontal stripes: blue on the top, as the reference to the Turkic origin of the country; red in the middle, symbolizing the way that the country is moving forward as it became a democracy; and green at the bottom, as the population of the country is Muslim. 

On the middle of the bar, there is a white crescent and eight-rayed star, referring to a country’s Islamic history and a wish for unity and freedom. 

The flag of Azerbaijan was created by Afrasiyab Badalbeyli and adopted on February 5 during the year 1991 soon after the Soviet Union split apart. This emoji is actually a symbol of Azerbaijan culture as well as citizens’ pride and self-identity.
